Rick Owens goes into great and detail of the History of Bonsai. and starts with an introduction to the Art of Bonsai, then in-depth discussions of Styles of Trees , Sizes, Pot Selection and Soils. Rick is retired now but has worked in manufacturing, engineering, and design, and is very well versed in 3d (CAD) modeling. Rick started making bonsai when he was sixteen years old after he attended a show at the Arnold Arboretum in Boston, Massachusetts. That was back in 1969 and he has been making bonsai ever since. The oldest tree in his current collection is 39 years of age, started from a cutting.
