2013 Annual Exhibit Awards

The Bonsai Society of Southwest Florida presented our annual show and sale on Saturday and Sunday, November 16th and 17th. It was likely our best exhibit! Many thanks to all who worked so hard and long to make this happen. The display was exceptionally beautiful with many excellent trees suitably displayed in the traditional style. A special congratulations to all for finding moss!

Collection Spreadsheet

Here is a spreadsheet for you to download. It logs in information on each of your trees such as where you purchased it, from whom, cost, size and especially, when you re-potted it. Re-potting becomes more important as the years move along and this handy little spreadsheet helps you remember when and how to re-pot. And, as your collection grows, you can simply insert new lines…

On Saturday, February 15 in the morning starting at 9:30, Dorothy Schmitz will have a Juniper workshop. In the afternoon our Bonsai day will continue with a Mentor group to help people with problem trees. You may return with this tree every month to continue its “journey to perfection”.
