March Meeting, Mar 19, 2016

WE ARE CHANGING OUR FORMAT for this and most future meetings. The major difference is that we will start with the substance of our group...to work on trees. For this meeting we will discuss using fertilizers, insecticides and soil. We will have a "Show and Tell" and ask members to discuss and show what they have. You are encouraged to bring a tree that you think is unhealthy. We will also discuss how to wire in screen for repotting. We will have a raffle and end with a short business meeting for those interested in attending.

February Meeting, Feb 20, 2016

WE ARE CHANGING OUR FORMAT for this and most future meetings. The major difference is that we will start with the substance of our group...to work on trees, from 9-10 AM. Bring your tools, wire and trees. Help will be there if you need it. This will be followed by a "Show and Tell" at 10AM in which we encourage members to show us anything interesting and share it with us. Around 10:15 we will have a raffle, followed at 10:30 to 11:30 with this month's program with Martha Goff's discussion on carving.

Caravan Bonsai Field Trip to Ft. Lauderdale, March 5, 2016

A Bonsai Field Trip to a Bonsai nursery that is normally off-limits to the general public. An Ichiban Bonsai Kai club member has worked with this nursery for several years and has been given permission to organize and bring bonsai enthusiasts to look around and hopefully buy plants, pots, etc. This nursery is an importer and wholesaler and is not set up with retail in mind. The photos show that this is a warehouse with goods arranged for shipping and not for display. Since it is wholesale, the prices are more than reasonable.
